Fuck Valentines day!
» Coachella
I have decided that I am going to go to Coachella this year. The line up this year is amazing. I have no idea how I am going to afford it but I think that it would be a great adventure.

Anyone else want to go with me?
» I am in London
So the last month and a half has been interesting. Two weeks before leaving for a European vacation together my girlfriend breaks up with me. She tells me that she is really afraid that I won't go on the trip. Well since I had already been planning to go for the last year and had already put up about $1000 for my plane ticket not going was not an option.

Anyways despite how crazy she has been acting for the last month I am having a great time over here. After being on vacation for almost a month I feel like this is what I do in life. I just travel around Europe and spend money. We arrived in London on the 29th of October and stayed here for a week. Then we flew to Cork and drove to Dublin. We were in Ireland for a total of a week and then flew to Paris and spent another week there. We flew back to London about a week ago and still are here untill tuesday.

There have been a lot of surprises here. Many things were just like the way they are at home which I was very surprised about. Other things were better then I could have ever imagined they would be. There were also things that I was not expecting to see over here that I got to.

So all in all it is good to be here. I can't wait untill I can make another trip here and go to more places I haven't been before. I just wish that I was really rich and could buy all the stuff I want to and bring it back with me.

Anyways I only have a couple of days left, then I come back and start working off all the debt I have incurred.
» I am D R U N K
well I am actually drunk!

I have not written in this bloody thing in many a moon. I am bored and drunk. I am drooling over the new iPod nano and the latest Mac computers wishing that i was rich so that whenever i saw something I wanted I could actually buy it. I have been really saving lately because in less than two months I will be leaving this contenant for the fist time and be going to the UK for a month. Anyways I shall now retreat into obscurity.
» Seattle Fucking Rocks!
I have nothing better to do right now and seeing as I never post in this I will do so now.

I just spent the weekend in Seattle. It has been around seven years since I was last in the emerald city. I had forgotten how great it is there. The culture there is great. I am used to living in Vancouver and Victoria where there is little culture. Seattle is a real city with culture as well as the wonderful greeness that Vancouver and Victoria share. It really is a beautiful city. It was great to be able to visit as an adult seeing as the last time I was about 18. The clubs there are really cool. I went to this place called Chapel that was a funeral chapel converted into a bar. The live music venues are really good too. I wish that I could have spent a whole week there because there are a lot of good shows happening right now. We went and saw the Faint and Bright Eyes on saturday. It was a pretty good show. I really didn't think that I liked Bright Eyes but his new album "Digital Ash In A Digital Urn" is really fucking good. So yeah the show was good. Stores there rock too. I spent about $300 US while I was there. Good clothes, good records. Maybe I should get my American Passport and move there. It is a pretty cool place. That will have to wait until I get back from London.

Yeah, so I really don't have anything else to say.

You're Pizzazz! You always want to be the center of
attention, and things must go your way or else!
You've got a good sense of humor but you
sometimes have a temper. Seems like you may be
a little spoiled huh? Well don't worry, your
friends still accept you for who you are.

» Things happen when you least expect them
Well I haven't posted in this for a long time. I haven't really had a reason to, I guess.

Victoria is pretty lame. I didn't really expect it to be great but I had heard that it at least had a good live music scene. The few shows that I have been to were even more poorly attended then shows are in Vancouver. The only clubs that are any good are the ones that appeal to the college crowd. School was alright but now I have to wait until the fall semester to actually be able to take any courses that I wanted to. I was actually thinking of moving back to Vancouver.

Then the unimaginable thing happened. I actually met someone. Not just anyone though. Someone that I can actually imagine spending the rest of my life with. I almost have faith in things again. That things actually work out the way they are supposed to, that even bad things lead you to good things in life. Of course I don't actually belive that, but it's tempting to.

I am starting to think that I am crazy. We have only been dating for a month, yet we are making long term plans for the future already. We are likely moving to Montreal in May. We are also already considering moving in together. It almost seems like in another month I will be down on one knee proposing!

I guess I am going to have to give up my bleak outlook on life.
» Johnny Ramone
So apparently Johnny Ramone is battling cancer and may or may not be dying. That's pretty crazy considering that many rockers from the 60's that actually survived the 60's are still alive. Two members of the Ramones are already dead as well as Joe Strummer from the Clash. Why is it that the rockers of that era seem to be all suddenly croaking? For christ sakes Keith Richards is still alive!
» Sadness
I just figured out that I am way too poor to go to Vancouver this weekend to see Images In Vogue. I am so poor that I can afford the ferry there and my ticket for the show but then I can't afford the return trip. I am so disappointed. I have been looking forward to this show ever since I found out about it. Hopefully I will have some money by the time the of Siouxsie show.
» Sweet Employment!
So yesturday I got hired for a job that doesn't start for at least another week and in two hours I have an interview for another job. I have been looking for work for a couple of months now and suddenly when it looks like there are less opportunities than when I started my job search I suddenly have people show interest in hiring me. Crazy.
» Save it all for me!
I am pretty bored right now. I wish that I actually could get myself a job so I wouldn't feel so useless and bored all the time. At least I am starting to meet people here in Victoria. I met a girl a couple of weeks ago and I guess we are sort of dating now.

I am also pretty excited about Images In Vogue playing at the Commodore on the 20th. I will be there with bells on, literally. It sucks that they are playing with the Spoons. There has to be another band from that era that would be willing to play a show with them. I just really hope that this show is a nostalgia thing and not an attempt to showcase new material.

I think that I am going to go see I, Robot later today. I hope that it isn't crappy.
» Royal BC Museum
I just got home from the egypt exhibit. It was neat but a little disappionting. It was presented more as an art exhibit than an historical one. I think that if the exhibit was being shown at an art museum that would be fine but I think that in a museum that focuses on history that more information should have been provided about the context of the pieces.

However as an art exhibit it was spectacular. They even had a few pieces from the Amarna period of Akhenaten's riegn. It is also a little differnet seeing the stuff up close as opposed to in black and white photos in books. It is also neat that the stuff is on display here. There aren't many places one can see the stuff.
» When is a door not a door?
So I am feeling better than I have in quite a while. I just registered for my courses that start in the fall. It makes the fact that I am actually going back to school feel a little more real.

I also had a really good trip to Vancouver to visit with my mom and cut loose with friends. It was a lot of fun. I don't really know anybody in Victoria ao it was really nice to get together with them and catch up. I had forgotten that I had such good friends.

I got back to Victoria yesterday and am now house sitting for about two weeks which is really good because I get to have time away from my dad. I was also able to hook up with Leaf who was in town. It was good to see him too. I haven't seen him in about a year and living in Victoria I always miss him when he makes his "border runs."

My little trip really has brought my mood up. I think that next time I won't wait so long to go for a visit.
